  • She Is... Crystal Daye (International Women's Day 2025 Feature)

In honour of International Women’s Day, Noble Media Network has partnered with With A Purpose International’s "She Is" Initiative to highlight 8 women who inspire us to have bold faith. The "She Is" Initiative celebrates women who lead with authenticity and confidence as they walk in their purpose. From poverty and pain to purpose and prosperity, Crystal Daye has built a global platform dedicated to equipping Christian authors, coaches, and entrepreneurs with the tools to monetize their message, launch their kingdom businesses, and increase their impact—without compromising their faith. Crystal Daye As a global book and sales coach, award-winning author, international speaker, and COO of DayeLight Publishers, Crystal is on a mission to help aspiring authors, ministry leaders, and entrepreneurs birth their books, build profitable brands, and transform lives using biblical principles. We’d say she’s achieved that and more, with her company publishing over 350 authors, selling over 300,000 books, and raking in more than USD 3,000,000 in sales. Her journey, however, has been anything but easy. Yet, through faith, resilience, and surrender, she has turned her trials into a testimony that now empowers others worldwide. A Story of Redemption Growing up in some of the toughest communities in Kingston, Jamaica, Crystal knew what it meant to struggle. Poverty, toxic relationships, abuse, insecurity, and moments of having no food or a place to sleep defined much of her early life. She is candid about the fact that it was her decision to surrender to God that led to a radical transformation, bringing her from pain to power and her story into a source of hope for others. Launching a Best-Selling Career & Helping Others Do the Same Author, Publisher and Book Coach, Crystal Daye Crystal’s first book, “Living a Royal Reality: Discovering Your Identity, Purpose, and Worth in Christ,” became an Amazon bestseller in less than 48 hours and earned her a nomination for an Indie Author Legacy Award in Baltimore for its profound message. That success sparked her passion for helping others clarify their God-given message, leading her to become a certified Christian life coach and a leading book and sales strategist for faith-based entrepreneurs. She has authored several other books including “Dear Insecurity,” “Sell More Books, Impact More Lives,” and “Divinely Blessed”. Through her work at DayeLight Publishers, she now guides Christian authors, coaches, and influencers to turn their stories into best-selling books, high-impact coaching programs, and thriving speaking careers. Building Kingdom Businesses Without Compromise Crystal is passionate about teaching believers how to launch kingdom businesses and ministries by applying biblical principles to entrepreneurship. To spread her message even further, she recently launched her web series, “My Journey To Six Figures,” on YouTube, where she shares lessons from her own life and career on ways to build wealth as an author.  Through her books, coaching, and publishing company, Crystal continues to equip, mentor, and inspire a new generation of faith-driven leaders to boldly step into their purpose. Her story is proof that no matter where you start, God’s purpose will always lead you to a greater destination. A Closer Look w/ Crystal Daye DayeLight is God’s vision. I am just a vessel. ~ Crystal Daye Your story is so powerful. When did you first realize that your pain could be used to empower others? CRYSTAL: In 2014, I read the book "The Purpose Driven Life" [by Rick Warren] and it changed my life. The book taught me how God can use my pain for His purpose, if I was surrendered to Him. Once I started to focus on God’s plan then I realized nothing I’ve been through is wasted with God and it gave me confidence and courage to boldly share my story (including the messy parts). Your first book became an Amazon bestseller in just 48 hours! What was that moment like for you? Get your copy of "Living a Royal Reality" by Crystal Daye here . CRYSTAL: I was shocked. I was super grateful. I know I had done a lot of marketing but I wasn’t popular or had a big platform in 2016, so it was such a humbling and amazing feeling knowing the work I put in was being honoured. Even more, I was encouraged to know so many people are being blessed by my message. DayeLight Publishers has impacted so many lives. What was the vision behind starting it? CRYSTAL: DayeLight is God’s vision. I am just a vessel. The idea to help authors to write books was planted by a business coach I was working with, Dayna Wallace. I wasn’t thinking it was something I could do but God sent so many confirmations, I couldn’t avoid it. The mission is to help preserve Godly literature, empower lives through legacy-driven books and build the kingdom of God. With this business, I just follow His leading and keep serving people in excellence. You work with aspiring authors and entrepreneurs. What’s the biggest misconception people have about writing a book or launching a brand? CRYSTAL: Well, one of the biggest misconceptions aspiring authors have is: 1. Once they write the book and put it on Amazon it will sell (that is not so, writing the book is 20% of the work, publishing the book is 10% - marketing and sales is 70% that is not a destination but a journey). 2. When it comes on to branding, many entrepreneurs believe that building a brand is for famous people, but we all are a brand and have a brand (no matter how many followers you have). You’re passionate about helping people monetize their God-given message. What’s one mistake many faith-based entrepreneurs make when trying to build a profitable brand? CRYSTAL: Many faith-based entrepreneurs believe that doing things for free makes them more ‘righteous’. Money is such a taboo topic in church, many persons don’t believe that selling is a blessing as much as giving. Making money is not bad, charging is not bad — it is noble. Reflect on Proverbs 11:26 (NIV): “People curse the one who hoards grain, but they pray God’s blessing on the one who is willing to sell.” You often talk about the importance of surrender. How did fully surrendering to God shift everything for you? Award-winning Author, Crystal Daye CRYSTAL: Surrender is not passive. Many people believe surrender means allowing He who knows ALL things to lead. Surrender is actively choosing obedience because you know your Father always has your best interest at heart. I understand sometimes surrender can be scary because of the unknown but it is a daily choice to trust God’s heart. I surrendered when I started believing God has a good plan for my life. I surrendered when I believed He will never leave me or forsake me. Once I surrendered my way, my life has never been the same. Before Christ, you experienced hardship, toxic relationships, and deep insecurity. What was your breaking point, and how did you find healing? CRYSTAL: I don’t know if I had a breaking point, I think it was various things happening that convicted my heart that led me to desire to deeper relationship with God. My conversion wasn’t a one-time happening, it took various [moments] of striping, choosing and surrendering to really overcome my insecurity and choose to walk in God’s freedom. If I am being honest, even though I have been really saved for over 10 years, I still have to daily to say no to toxic relationships, self-doubt and walk in healing. Temptations come to always challenge us to fall into old patterns, but it’s a choice to walk in holiness.  Many people struggle with stepping into their calling because of fear. What advice would you give to someone who knows they’re meant for more but feels stuck? CRYSTAL: It starts with having a vision for your life and where you see yourself. Then, expose yourself to what possibilities look like. Faith comes by hearing, so start filling yourself with positive and faith-filled messages that remind you of who you are in Christ and that your potential is greater than your limitations. I would say don’t ignore the call to more. You owe it to yourself, to the lives God will allow you to bless and ultimately remember that God will hold you accountable for what He has placed in you. Courage is not the absence of fear—it’s moving forward despite it. Your calling is too important to let fear hold you back. It’s time to step out and believe God will meet you there. As someone who grew up in difficult circumstances, what does success mean to you now? Crystal Daye poses with her daughter, Christelle, after winning the Sterling Award for Virtual Gospel Series of the Year for The DayeLight Show CRYSTAL: Success for me now is defined by being in God’s will. Once I know that God is pleased I know I am successful. I do have desires to have greater impact and I trust that I will continue to use my gifts to bless others. What’s next for you? Any new books, programs, or initiatives we should look out for? CRYSTAL: I am always up to something (smile). Best you follow me on social media (IG, LinkedIn or Facebook) and definitely sign up for my email list to keep connected. Please go to Amazon and get a copy of my new book, "Divinely Blessed." It is really a good book. Grab a copy of Crystal Daye's books below. Visit Amazon for more. • She Is… Audia Spencer-Brown (The Psalmist) - International Women's Day 2025 Feature

With a voice that stirs the soul, Audia Spencer-Brown, known as The Psalmist, is one of Jamaica’s most powerful young voices in gospel music. More than just a singer, she is an ‘agent of change’, using her music, writing, and even fashion to inspire the next generation to reconnect with their faith and The Lord. Award-winning Gospel Singer, Audia Spencer-Brown Since the release of her debut single, “Forever Grateful” in 2019, Audia has solidified her place as one of the most influential gospel artistes in Jamaica today. Her music is more than just a sound—it’s a movement, a call to worship, and a reminder that faith is alive and relevant. She is especially passionate about reaching today’s youth, encouraging them to embrace their faith boldly, without fear of judgment or compromise. Impact in Gospel Music Audia has become a sought-after minister in the gospel scene, gracing major concert stages across Jamaica. Some of her recent appearances include: Genesis Praise Fest 2025, a premier gospel event showcasing the island’s leading worshippers, Audience of One, a high-energy, spirit-filled gathering of worshippers and the Women Ignite Success Summit, a movement and conference launched to empower women in various spheres of life from entrepreneurship to faith and relationships. Credit: @gageventshighlights @gagproductionltd Audia's impact was further recognized in 2024, when she was awarded Breakout Sensation of the Year at the Sterling Awards, one of Jamaica’s most prestigious gospel music honours. This milestone cemented her status as a force to be reckoned with in the industry. An Agent of Change With every song, Audia delivers powerful messages to lead believers into true worship. Her latest single, “It’s Your Time,” is an anthem of hope and breakthrough, reminding listeners that God’s promises never fail and calling upon The Lord to move in the life of the believer. She sings, “It’s Your time, Jesus, to shine. Make it all okay in my life…You never fail to show Yourself in many ways, even in my darkest moments when I have gone astray.” Audia Spencer-Brown is more than a vocalist—she is indeed a voice for the generation, and a woman determined to make God proud. And as her journey unfolds, one thing remains certain; The Psalmist is just getting started. A Closer Look w/ Audia Spencer-Brown If the foundation of your belief system is wrong then the gift is already polluted. The world has enough of that. ~ Audia Spencer-Brown Credit: @the_pslamist_ Your music carries such a strong message. What first inspired you to pursue gospel music and how did you know it was your calling?  AUDIA : At birth, the doctors gave me a less than 20% chance of living. Before I spoke my first word, I sang my first note. My entire life and survival is founded on my faith and resilient belief that God is the one who gave me life and He gave me the gift of singing to influence any and everyone to keep pushing. When I look at the world we’re living in, it inspires me to never stop. You’ve mentioned that you want to be an “agent of change.” How do you see yourself influencing the youth of today through your music and message? AUDIA : We know that there are a lot of influences out there that consistently model sin in an enticing way. To the point where we no longer count the cost of living a sinful life. For years, the gospel has been available but people always count church hurt and religiosity as the reason to not serve God. To be an agent of change, for me, means to model imperfection, consecration and redemption. All of this must be communicated to the people around me whether through song, a social media post, the way I look and the way I treat others around me. Impact has to surpass the melody. Faith and fashion aren’t often talked about together but you blend both so well. How do you use your personal style as a form of expression in your ministry? Credit: @the_pslamist_ AUDIA : As a petite female, there weren’t a lot of examples of Godly fashion. Everything always looked the same way and only certain styles best suit my body but they can also be offensive to the body of Christ, for example, a bodycon/close-fitting dress or skirt. I had spent years figuring out my fashion sense and over time I found a way to use items like a jacket or a hat and other accessories to balance style and holiness. I want the consistency in the way I present myself to communicate to other young women that the best self-care is spiritual and physical and this accommodates balance that boosts confidence. You were recently awarded “Breakout Sensation of the Year” at the Sterling Gospel Music Awards. What did that moment mean to you? Audia Spencer-Brown ministering at the 2024 Sterling Gospel Music Awards AUDIA: In all honesty, I didn’t expect to win. I felt like I didn’t do as much as I wanted to. But I think God in that moment affirmed me and validated me in a way that I am still unable to truly unpack. In the little that I feel like I’m doing, with his grace it has a big impact. That award was not only given to me by The Sterling Awards but by God himself, affirming that It’s His time to shine in my life. Your latest single, “It’s Your Time,” speaks to God moving in our lives. What inspired this song, and what message do you hope listeners take from it? AUDIA: "It's Your Time" was written from a place of faith. I had no clue as to what would happen next in my life but I didn’t want to be sad about the uncertainty of the future. I wanted to communicate to the audience that we don’t have to beg God for mercy, we just have to value it enough to not waste it when it’s given. I anticipated modeling uncertainty with grace. I got tired of crying about not being in control and when I celebrated the fact of knowing the one who hold tomorrow, everything changed and that’s what I want the listeners to receive when they listen to the song. You’ve performed at some of the biggest gospel events in Jamaica. What has been your most memorable so far and why? AUDIA: Years ago, I had the great opportunity of singing at King's House for the annual Heroes' Day ceremony. That moment was definitely one for the books because I was so nervous about singing before all of the important people in attendance and God gave me strategy to get out of my own head through this fact; He sent me there as a promise that the gift would take me before great men. He wouldn’t give me a platform to embarrass me. I just had to fuel every note with the passion founded on my reason; Him. What challenges have you faced in the gospel music industry since your debut, and how have you stayed grounded through it all? Credit: @the_pslamist_ AUDIA: My image has been a blessing and a curse. Because of my fashion sense and the fact that I wear makeup, when I just started, [at times in the industry] a lot of people wouldn’t call to book you unless you have an outfit on that reaches your ankle, is long-sleeved, and has a turtle neck. If they did call, they wanted to pay little or nothing. The good, however, has definitely outweighed the bad because I’ve learnt to walk away gracefully because If I lash out and dishonour God, it can turn everything for me upside down. I have way too much to lose. Everyone has a blueprint for their lives. In the end, it is the life that I live that speaks for me. What advice would you give young artistes who want to use their gifts for God but are unsure where to start? My Advice is to start with your why, because if the foundation of your belief system is wrong then the gift is already polluted. The world has enough of that. Spend time in His presence so that you’ll learn how to manage your emotions well before you manage a career. It is the grace of discipline and obedience that will make you undeniable. He takes you further when He knows he can trust you. What’s next for The Psalmist?  I have a lot of new music coming! I have decided to dedicate this year to launching my business Styled by Zena that will help young Christian women to look and feel amazing. The rest, I leave to Abba to spontaneously do. He opens the doors and I run right through them. Connect with Audia Spencer-Brown on her social pages: Website: https://audiaspencerminist.wixsite.com/my-site Instagram: @the_psalmist_

  • She Is... Gabrielle Burgess (International Women's Day 2025 Feature)

When it comes to celebrating brand Jamaica, empowering entrepreneurs, and inspiring wellness, Gabrielle Burgess is leading the way. As the founder of Suga Lifestyle, a radiologic technologist, certified nutritionist, personal trainer, and artist, she is a true multi-hyphenate who has dedicated her life to curating experiences, supporting local businesses, and promoting health and fitness. Gabrielle Burgess From launching highly anticipated trade shows to guiding individuals toward their wellness goals, Gabrielle has built a brand that seamlessly blends culture, entrepreneurship, and healthy living. Her impact has earned her recognition, including the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur of the Year Award and a nomination for Best in Chamber (Micro Enterprise). Suga Lifestyle – A Platform for Brand Jamaica In November 2013, Gabrielle founded Suga Lifestyle, a brand that highlights Jamaica’s best—from food and fitness to events and local entrepreneurs. Over the years, she has expanded the brand into multiple initiatives while staying true to her core mission: celebrating and elevating all things Jamaican. CEO of Suga Lifestyle, Gabrielle Burgess One of the standout events under Suga Lifestyle is the Suga Lifestyle Christmas Connection Trade Show, launched in 2018. This annual event provides a platform for small and medium-sized Jamaican businesses to showcase their products in a curated, high-energy shopping experience featuring wine, food, and an overall grand time. Beyond Christmas, Suga Lifestyle also curates events in honour of Valentine's Day, Mother’s Day and Emancipation Day with pop-ups highlighting Jamaican heritage through commerce. She also organizes the Art & Lifestyle Expo, formerly the GW Art Exhibition. These events showcase Jamaica’s entrepreneurial spirit, support local talent, and create unforgettable experiences for both vendors and patrons. A True Artist While Gabrielle is widely known for her entrepreneurial efforts, she is also a gifted artist. In 2014, she took a leap of faith and launched GW Art, a brand dedicated to creating artwork that transforms spaces and brings peace of mind. Gabrielle Burgess of Suga Lifestyle showcasing her GW Art exhibition at the launch of her Art & Lifestyle Expo. Though she initially pursued a career in science, Gabrielle’s love for art never faded. She won top art awards from first to ninth grade but later shifted her focus to the sciences, becoming a radiologic technologist as a practical way to make a living. However, art remained an integral part of her life. While studying at university, she sold one of her paintings to help pay for textbooks. Later, when decorating her home in 2010, she relied on her artistic skills to create a space that reflected her style. By 2014, she began selling her paintings more widely, officially launching GW Art as a business. Today, GW Art is known for its signature use of color, texture, and black-and-white vintage designs, making it a top choice for décor, gifts, and souvenirs. Committed to sustainability, the brand also prioritizes eco-friendly packaging. Gabrielle sees her art as more than decoration—it is an opportunity to inspire and uplift. A Role Model in Fitness Founder of Fit Happens with Gabby, Gabrielle Burgess As a certified nutritionist, personal trainer, yoga instructor, and spinning coach, Gabrielle works with clients across all ages to develop personalized wellness plans. Through her platform, Fit Happens with Gabby, she shares tailored meal plans, nutritional guidance, personal training programs for all fitness levels and yoga and spinning workouts to encourage movement and mindfulness. Her approach isn’t just about physical health—it’s about building sustainable habits, boosting confidence, and helping people feel their best. Gabrielle’s journey is a testament to the power of being passionate about your purpose. Whether she’s empowering entrepreneurs, curating lifestyle events, or helping individuals transform their health, she continues to stand out as a one-of-a-kind in her field. A Closer Look w/ Gabrielle Burgess I created a comfortable, enjoyable event, not only celebrating our visual arts but highlighting the cultural industry of poets, guitarists, saxophonists, singers, dancers and more. ~ Gabrielle Burgess Suga Lifestyle has grown into a major platform. What inspired you to start the brand, and did you expect it to evolve this way? GABRIELLE: I definitely did not expect it to evolve this way. My late dad was Captain of the Jamaica Cricket team and played for the West Indies. I was first inspired to write about how the West Indies finally won a World title in 2012, the 2012 T20 World Cup after a long drought. This inspired me to write other articles I was passionate about, mainly culinary experiences in Jamaica via Restaurant Reviews and Ratings. Then came sugalifestyle.com and Brand Jamaica! I enjoyed shopping local, especially for my Christmas gifts, observing that offerings were becoming more high quality with greater variety. As an artisan myself, I participated in pop-ups and expos, showcasing and selling my GW Art. At most of the events, I felt like my art was lost amongst too many exhibitors, so I started exhibiting on my own. With success, I saw where pop-ups and expos could be more of an experience rather than a shopping event, incorporating my love for food via tasty bites and beverages, adding variety, more high-quality items, improved logistics and smooth execution for both the vendors and patrons. Suga Lifestyle's Christmas Connection was born in December 2018 with each vendor unique to their own craft for maximum profit. Your brand focuses on curating events that showcase brand Jamaica. What makes these events so unique, and why is supporting local businesses so important to you? Gabrielle Burgess of Suga Lifestyle receiving the JCC Entrepreneur of the Year Award from Senator-turned-Minister of Education, Dr. the Hon. Dana Morris Dixon. GABRIELLE: We won't spill all the beans as to what makes our events so unique, but once you go you know! A big part of it is using my experience and network gained from being a past Table Talk Observer Food Awards Judge and Restaurant Week Ambassador to have patrons expecting to be absolutely wowed, especially by something new, followed by a euphoric feeling and environment. We have so much local talent in Jamaica; importing lessens our GDP significantly. We should believe as a nation, for us to grow, that it begins here. We should help and empower each other or those who feel trapped in a 9-5, unable to fully release their creative energy and talent of monetary value. Most of what we need is accessible here before we look anywhere else. The Suga Lifestyle Christmas Connection Trade Show has become a major annual event. How has it impacted small businesses since its launch? Christmas Connection Cheer with Sheron Gilzean, joined by Suga Lifestyle CEO Gabrielle Burgess (centre) and her daughter, Sasha Gilzean (far right). GABRIELLE: With a collective growth in sales from hundreds of thousands of dollars, to a million and last year, over 2 million dollars, small businesses usually acquire the income they need to take them through the holiday season and through the slow season of January, allowing them to provide or contribute to providing for their households. The visibility gained is bar none, leading to increased networking, growth and distribution opportunities. You balance so much—entrepreneurship, fitness, healthcare, and art. How do you stay grounded while managing multiple passions? Directors of Suga Lifestyle, Randy and Gabrielle Burgess GABRIELLE: Firstly, faith in the above who strengthens me. Then fitness, which goes a long way, bringing good vibes and energy to manage multiple passions. Working out and clean eating (for the most part), is key to my regime. I also, thankfully, have the support of my husband, Randy Burgess, my small family and circle of lifelong friends, not to mention my little fur baby, Annie, who brings joy to me daily. Suga Lifestyle has also built a strong community of fellow entrepreneurs and supporters who hardly miss an event. Their positive support, engagement, compliments on what I have achieved and encouragement to keep going help me to stay grounded and motivated to do more. As a certified nutritionist and personal trainer, what is the biggest misconception people have about wellness? GABRIELLE: Most people think that if they work out enough, they can reward themselves or eat and drink anything they would like, especially on weekends. Certified Personal Trainer and Nutritionist, Gabrielle Burgess Your fitness programs cater to people at all stages of life. What’s one key piece of advice you give to anyone starting their health journey? GABRIELLE: It starts with what you eat. After all, we are what we eat. Healthy living is 80% nutrition, 10% heredity/genes and 10% exercise. You took a leap of faith in launching GW Art. What gave you the confidence to pursue your passion for art again? GABRIELLE: My 'aha' moment was when I decorated my first apartment with my own art. I thought, "Why buy paintings or decor when I can create it myself?" Then I figured, there should be others like me, especially within my own network looking to add art to the walls of their homes and offices. The Art & Lifestyle Expo is an exciting expansion of your GW Art exhibition. What inspired you to rebrand and elevate this event? GABRIELLE: The opportunity to still shine, but embrace and showcase fellow artists in my community at a local event with the potential to be an international event. I also believe there is a great void with events and opportunities to introduce, reintroduce and show persons that they can enjoy the visual and cultural arts as an outing with friends and family or even themselves. A repeat shopper at Suga Lifestyle events browsing products from Je Te Veux Pieces 876 at Suga Lifestyle's Art & Lifestyle Expo. So, I created a comfortable, enjoyable event, not only celebrating our visual arts but highlighting the cultural industry of poets, guitarists, saxophonists, singers, dancers and more, and of course, showcasing a bit of our talented creative industry. All under one roof, indoors, where fine art belongs. What’s next for you and Suga Lifestyle? GABRIELLE: Time will tell, but there has always been a vision for not only expansion islandwide, but globally, taking Brand Jamaica to di World! • She Is... Daindra Harrison (International Women's Day Feature 2025 Feature)

Daindra Harrison has carved out a space that is uniquely her own. From her early days as a poet to becoming a media personality, TV host, actress, and comedian, she has proven that faith, talent, and persistence can open unimaginable doors. Daindra Harrison Daindra’s journey began with the power of words—spoken word poetry was her first love, a medium through which she expressed her thoughts, faith, and experiences. A graduate of the University of the West Indies, she holds a degree in Integrated Marketing Communication, a programme she was divinely led to pursue after receiving a scholarship for winning a poetry competition—quite the God wink moment. But her purpose didn’t stop there. What started as poetry performances soon expanded into comedic skits, capturing the hearts of Jamaicans and growing a dedicated audience on social media. Her bold, witty, and relatable content turned her into one of Jamaica’s go-to comedic voices, making people laugh while also reflecting on life and the Jamaican culture. But Daindra didn’t just stop at influencing online; she took her voice offline and onto bigger stages. Thriving in Media and Entertainment Daindra’s ability to captivate audiences landed her opportunities as a TV host on Television Jamaica’s show, Gen Zed—”a space for Jamaican youth to share their experiences and thoughts on navigating adulthood responsibly”—where she brought her charisma and humour to the screen. She also expanded her influence into event hosting, becoming a familiar face on stage at major events. Daindra’s talent has led her to the world of acting, starring in productions such as Pickney Worries at the Little Theatre, and Pitchy Patchy—a theatre play where social media influencers along with stage and film actors join forces for a comical exploration of Jamaican culture, social issues and folklore—proving that her creativity knows no bounds. A Queen In More Ways Than One Daindra Harrison at the live coronation of Miss Kingston and St. Andrew Festival Queen 2024 In 2024, Daindra added another feather to her cap when she was crowned Miss Kingston & St. Andrew Festival Queen, later going on to place second runner-up in the national Miss Jamaica Festival Queen competition. This achievement was more than just a title—it was a representation of her commitment to her culture, empowerment, and inspiring young women. A Woman of Purpose Beyond the scope of the entertainment industry, Daindra uses her platform to speak life into others. She frequently visits schools, and other institutions, sharing messages of encouragement, hope, and self-belief. Her journey is a well-needed display of what happens when you step out in faith, embrace your gifts, and allow God to order your steps. A Closer Look w/ Daindra Harrison My relationship with God truly guides the things I say no or yes to. ~ Daindra Harrison Your journey has been incredible—from poetry to comedy, hosting, and acting. Did you ever imagine you’d be on this path today? Daindra Harrison hosting the Ministry of Health and Wellness' Health and Wellness Career Expo and Employment Fair DAINDRA: Yes, I always imagined being where I am today. I never knew exactly how it was going to happen, but I always held on to an idea of who I wanted to become and worked towards it until it manifested itself. Even now, I still don’t believe I am even halfway where I want to be, but I am on my way there and will continue to work and push until I reach my fullest potential. Many people first knew you as a poet. What made you step into comedy and media? DAINDRA:   My step into media and comedy was very unintentional—it just happened naturally. I was always creating content and sharing it on social media, and I knew I had a voice that fit the media space. As I continued to push my talents, I organically found myself in these fields. So, my journey into comedy and media unfolded without a deliberate plan—it just felt like the right fit.  Faith is a key part of your journey. How has it shaped your career and the decisions you’ve made as a young woman in the media space? DAINDRA:  My relationship with God truly guides the things I say no or yes to. Often times I would be presented with opportunities that go against my faith and it always boils down to whether or not what I’m doing will be pleasing to God. In fact, I am really grateful for my faith because it’s something I always lean on before taking a big step or making a great decision regarding my career.  You’ve experienced a lot of success in the entertainment industry. What has been your proudest moment as well as the biggest lesson you’ve learned along the way? DAINDRA:  My proudest moment in the entertainment industry thus far was when I got the opportunity to become one of the hosts on the Television Jamaica (TVJ) youth centre talk show ‘GenZed.’ This was a pivotal role in my career as it really opened a lot of doors for me and I was able to showcase my talent to a wider audience. The biggest lesson I’ve learned in the industry thus far is to just avoid the noise and focus on your own path. The entertainment industry is very saturated and people are doing their own thing every day. It ’s very important that I try to block out the noise and locate what is truly unique to me.  You’ve been adding to your acting credits as well, recently starring in the hilarious theatre play "Pitchy Patchy". What would you say you love most about acting? DAINDRA:  What I love the most about acting is that I forget everything about the outside world and live in a new reality when I’m on stage. It is almost like an escape. It’s just me playing that character, in that specific world, breathing a special type of air and living in that moment while completely forgetting about everything else.  Winning the Miss Kingston & St. Andrew Festival Queen title and second runner-up for Miss Jamaica Festival Queen are major achievements. What was that experience like and what did it teach you about yourself? Daindra Harrison reads to young children at the Bob Marley Museum for Heritage Month 2024. DAINDRA:   I’m not gonna lie—my Festival Queen experience was tough. It pushed me far out of my comfort zone, and competitions tend to bring out the worst in some people, which was something I had to navigate on the other end. Despite the challenges, I walked away a better woman with a deeper understanding and appreciation of Jamaica’s culture, which I hold close to my heart. If there’s one thing the experience taught me, it’s that I really don’t like competitions…  You inspire so many young women to chase their dreams. What advice would you give to someone afraid to step into their purpose? DAINDRA:  My advice is simple—pick your struggle. If you choose not to step into your purpose, you’ll face consequences like regrets, judgment from others, and hardships. And if you do choose to step into your purpose, you’ll still face hardships and judgment from others. Either way, life will come with challenges, so you might as well walk a path that will be rewarding in the end.  What’s next for Daindra Harrison?  DAINDRA: I will continue to build my brand and work toward securing my place in the media and entertainment industry. • She Is... Jodian Pantry (International Women's Day 2025 Feature)

Jodian Pantry For over two decades, Jodian Pantry has been one of Jamaica’s most recognizable and anointed voices in gospel music. From her early days as a child prodigy in the JCDC Gospel Song Competition to becoming a household name on the popular talent TV show, Digicel Rising Stars—on which she returned as a guest judge in 2024—she has remained a powerful force in ministry and worship. With a voice that breaks yokes and uplifts hearts, Jodian has used her gift not just to sing, but to minister, heal, and encourage—both through her music and her testimony. A Voice That Captured a Nation Jodian Pantry as a contestant on Digicel Rising Stars. Jodian’s journey into gospel music began at a young age when she entered the 2001 JCDC Gospel Song Competition with her soul-stirring song, “I’ll Give My Heart.” But a young girl at the time, her voice carried a depth and anointing beyond her years, earning her a second-place finish in the competition. But it was in 2007, when she competed on Digicel Rising Stars, that she became a national favourite. Finishing as runner-up to international reggae singer Romain Virgo, Jodian’s talent proved undeniable. She later went on to become one of Jamaica’s most renowned gospel ministers, gracing some of the country’s biggest stages and blessing audiences with her signature sound. Jodian recently ministered at the 2024 Sterling Gospel Music Awards, a testament to her continued impact and presence in the industry. Ministry Through Music Jodian has embraced her calling to minister to people through song. Over the years, she has performed at countless gospel concerts, and worship events, carrying a message of hope, healing, and breakthrough. Before re-focusing on gospel music, she lent her voice to cabaret, working in various hotels. While this season refined her skills as a performer, she knew deep down that her voice was meant for ministry. Eventually, she embraced her true calling—leading people into worship and delivering songs that touch the soul. A Multi-Faceted Woman One of the most beautiful traits Jodian has is her ability and desire to continuously evolve. As she maintains a strong presence in gospel music, she has also shown herself to be a talented actress, starring in the “hilarious satirical theatre revue” Pitchy Patchy alongside—also featured—Daindra Harrison, among other prominent names such as broadcast specialist Simone Clarke, actor and musician Kadeem Wilson and former Miss Jamaica World 2015 Dr. Saneeta Myrie. In 2007, she founded the Jodian Pantry foundation and since then she has remained true to its mission of providing aid to poverty-stricken communities across Jamaica. Finding Strength Through Brokenness In recent years, Jodian has been vocal about her personal struggles, particularly regarding her divorce. She has shared how she endured an emotionally toxic and draining marriage, a broken relationship that left her feeling shattered and lost. Credit: @ jodian_adira_pantry Instead of allowing the pain to silence her, she chose to heal out loud—sharing her testimony and using music as a part of her restoration journey. Her deeply personal cover of Michael Bolton’s 1989 hit, “When I’m Back on My Feet Again,” released on April 24, 2022, was a powerful declaration of her perseverance and faith in God’s restoring power. Her latest single, “God Is Right There With You,” has been blessing thousands as well, offering comfort and hope to those who feel alone in their struggles.  “Hard pressed on every side but not crushed,”  she boldly declares in her Instagram bio. A true symbol of resilience, Jodian Pantry is living proof that God truly makes all things new. Through every season, she continues to walk in bold faith, lifting others through the power of song and testimony. A Closer Look w/ Jodian Pantry What keeps me grounded is Jesus. I know that the gift I carry is for Him. ~ Jodian Pantry Your journey in gospel music started at such a young age. Looking back at your early days in the JCDC Gospel Song Competition, did you ever imagine you’d be where you are today? JODIAN: Looking back from 2001, I knew I was destined for greatness. I recognized that I was special because of the gift of singing that God had placed within me. I was also deeply passionate about music from an early age.   Digicel Rising Stars introduced you to an even wider audience. How did that experience shape your career and ministry? Credit: @ scaffe_o3_media JODIAN:   Digicel Rising Stars has played a pivotal role in shaping my career and musical journey. It provided a solid foundation that catapulted me into places I had only dreamed of and introduced me to people I once only imagined meeting. You’ve been one of Jamaica’s go-to gospel ministers for years. What keeps you grounded and passionate about ministry? JODIAN: What keeps me grounded is Jesus. I know that the gift I carry is for Him, and I cannot take it for granted. If I were to do so, I fear losing it, and that is not something I can afford to let happen.  You’ve been very open about your divorce and healing journey. What gave you the courage to share that part of your life publicly? JODIAN:   Divorce, unfortunately, happens, and navigating life afterward is never easy—whether you are a Christian woman, a man, or anyone facing the pain of separation. It is incredibly difficult. I believe that sharing our undiluted truth raises awareness about the sharp edges of marriage. If not handled carefully, many will be left nursing deep wounds. My courage to speak openly comes from my desire to see married couples win. I want those who are engaged, newly married, or praying for a spouse to trod carefully. At the same time, I want those in toxic or abusive relationships to love themselves enough to recognize when someone is no longer for them.  “When I’m Back on My Feet Again” was such a powerful statement of your resilience. What led you to cover that particular song, and what did it mean for you personally? Credit: @ jodian_adira_pantry JODIAN:  "When I'm Back on My Feet Again" was sent to me by Mr. Paul Patmore. He believed the song reflected my personal journey at that time. When I first listened to it, I broke down completely. The song reminded me that I was not going to die in my wilderness, and that those who rejoiced over my rock-bottom moments would soon see me rise—stronger and better than before. To this day, it remains one of the most loved and requested songs whenever I perform.  Your latest single, “God Is Right There with You,” has been touching so many lives. What inspired that track? JODIAN:  "God Is Right There with You" came from a place of self-affirmation. I wrote it at a time when my heart and soul were consumed by pain. I felt like my life was ending, but as I stood before the mirror, those words came to me. Writing to the instrumental provided by Sanjay Pennant of Brain Freeze Records in Mandeville became easier, even though I had lost my enthusiasm for music at that time.  Gospel music isn’t just about talent—it’s about anointing. How do you ensure that your music remains a ministry and not just a performance? JODIAN:  To ensure that my music remains a ministry and not just a performance, I must have a deep and unwavering relationship with Jesus Christ. He strengthens me and opens doors for me. The deeper I go into the Word, the more I ignite with the fire of God when I step onto a stage. What I sing at a conference, an award ceremony, or a wedding is performance at its best. But saving souls for the Kingdom of God? That is in a category unmatched by anything else. What’s the most powerful testimony you’ve heard from someone impacted by your music? Credit: @ jodian_adira_pantry JODIAN:   Two of the most powerful testimonies I have ever received reaffirmed my purpose. The first came from a man now living in the Cayman Islands. He told me about a time when I boarded a taxi in May Pen as the only female passenger, accompanied by a child. As I entered, I began singing my song "I'll Give My Heart." Unbeknownst to me, the men in that vehicle were on their way to commit a murder. Later, he asked me if I wasn’t afraid to travel alone with a car full of men. I replied, "Don’t you see I’m not alone? Look... my angels are with me." He told me that moment changed everything. The second testimony came from a man I met in downtown Kingston, pushing a handcart. He shared that he plays my song every day at home and that it led him to give his life to Christ and get baptized when he was in his early twenties.  What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects, new music, or events we should look out for? Looking ahead, my focus is on recording an album and going on tour. That is what’s next on my journey. • She Is... Shanine Young (International Women's Day 2025 Feature)

Shanine Young has spent over a decade in education, but her impact extends far beyond the classroom. As a world-renowned author, emotional literacy specialist, author coach, and speaker, she has built a platform that helps educators, entrepreneurs, and professionals confidently use their voices, share their expertise, and build thriving brands. Through her company, Reaching While Teaching, she equips individuals with the tools to increase their confidence, master emotional intelligence, and create meaningful change through books and education. A native of Florida, USA, Shanine has been recognized by outlets such as Fox, and Voyage Miami, solidifying her as a sought-after expert in publishing, coaching, and educational leadership. Reaching While Teaching – From the Classroom to Global Influence Author and International Speaker, Shanine Young When Shanine published her first book, “Reaching While Teaching: An Educator's Guide to Impacting & Transforming Lives” (2020), she was still a full-time educator navigating the demands of teaching. Despite this, she successfully sold hundreds of copies, sparking curiosity from others who wanted to understand how she did it. Realizing there was a gap in knowledge for aspiring authors, she developed a course breaking down the strategies behind her successful book launch. This led to the creation of her signature program, the Books 2 Impact Publishing Accelerator, where she helps entrepreneurs, educators, and speakers publish and market their own books—transforming their experiences into powerful tools for influence. Her work isn’t just about helping authors publish books. It’s about helping them own their stories, amplify their voices, and step into purpose with confidence. To Teach or Not to Teach – Changing the Narrative in Education For many educators, the question isn’t just about teaching—it’s about sustainability, purpose, and legacy. Shanine co-authored the To Teach or Not to Teach® book, which features a total of ten educators sharing their personal experiences on whether to remain in the classroom or transition into new opportunities. This conversation quickly grew into something bigger. Shanine trademarked the To Teach or Not to Teach®   movement, which now includes three volumes of books and has helped over 30 educators around the world become impactful and profitable authors. She also launched the To Teach or Not to Teach® Conference, a space where professionals come together to network, learn business strategies, and gain insight from successful authors and industry leaders. Through this initiative, Shanine is reshaping the way people think about education and career transitions, proving that there are multiple ways to make an impact—inside or outside the classroom. Building a Legacy  Beyond her own publishing success, Shanine is raising the next generation of authors—starting with her own daughter. At just three years old, Shanel became a co-author alongside her mother in the book Shanel’s World , a children’s story celebrating uniqueness and highlighting the various food allergies children may encounter. Together, they go on tours to schools and organizations, inspiring young minds to embrace their individuality and build confidence. This project reflects Shanine’s larger mission: helping others recognize the power of their voice, their story, and their experiences. Whether coaching authors, or leading transformational conversations in education, she continues to prove that impact is limitless when purpose and strategy align. A Closer Look w/ Shanine Young I had to be reminded that God can use anyone and that includes me. It doesn’t matter how small or ordinary our stories feel. ~ Shanine Young You’ve successfully built an entire platform around empowering others to use their voices. When was the moment you realized that your own voice had power? Founder of To Teach or Not To Teach ® , Shanine Young SHANINE: Honestly, I didn’t always feel like my story was important enough. There were so many times I questioned, “Why would anyone care what I have to say?” But I had to be reminded that God can use anyone and that includes me. It doesn’t matter how small or ordinary our stories feel. I started to realize the power of my voice when I began posting small videos online, just sharing what was on my heart. People started listening, engaging, and asking for more. When I got my first few speaking engagements and saw the way people were leaning in, taking notes, and asking questions, I knew my voice carried impact. That’s when I knew I couldn’t count myself out. Stepping away from the classroom and into global influence required a shift in mindset. What was the biggest internal hurdle you had to overcome? SHANINE: The biggest hurdle was believing that what God placed inside of me was bigger than the classroom walls. Education was familiar, safe, and structured but deep down, I knew God was calling me to reach more lives beyond those four walls. I had to break out of the mindset that my impact was only limited to my students or a traditional job title. Now, I see how God still allows me to pour into students, schools, and educators, just in a different way. The calling was always there, I just had to be bold enough to answer it. Faith often demands action before certainty. Was there ever a point where you questioned your path? How did you push forward? SHANINE: Absolutely. There were moments where I questioned if I made the right decision, especially in the beginning when things weren't moving as fast as I expected. I wondered if I should just go back to the classroom because that felt easier. But what kept me pushing forward was knowing that God never gives us vision without provision. Even when I couldn't see how it would all work out, I trusted that He would guide my steps. Every time I kept going, another door would open, whether it was a speaking opportunity, a client signing up, or seeing how my daughter's confidence grew through becoming an author. Your first book, Reaching While Teaching , was written while you were still navigating a full-time teaching career. What was the driving force behind making it happen? Get your copy of Shanine's book, Reaching While Teaching here . SHANINE: I was in a season where I felt called to something more but I didn't know what that looked like yet. Writing Reaching While Teaching was my way of encouraging others, but at the same time, God was encouraging me through the process. I wrote that book while juggling teaching full-time, being a wife, a mom to a toddler, and barely having any free time. But I knew the message inside of me needed to come out. I didn't want to wait for the perfect time, I just wanted to be obedient. You’ve helped so many aspiring authors launch their books. What’s the biggest struggle you find that people battle with when trying to share their stories? SHANINE: The biggest struggle is thinking their story isn't valuable enough. So many people count themselves out before they even start writing because they compare their journey to others. They think, "I'm not an expert," or "Who would want to read my story?" But the truth is, your story isn't just for you, it's for the people God assigned to your voice. What I've learned is that it's not about having a perfect story—it's about being willing to share the lessons and experiences that can empower someone else. In an era where content is everywhere, what makes a book stand out?  SHANINE: A book stands out when it's written from a place of authenticity and strategy. Anybody can put words on paper, but what makes a book impactful is when the author is intentional about the message, the marketing, and the mission behind it. A lot of authors think their job is done once they finish writing—but the work is just beginning. You have to position your book to reach the right people and create a movement around it. That's what I help my clients do, turn their books into tools that build legacy and income. Your daughter is also an author at just 3 years of age. How important was it for you to help her share her story? SHANINE: It was extremely important because I didn't want her to ever question if her voice mattered—the way I once did. I wanted her to know that she could inspire others at any age. Watching her confidence grow through becoming an author showed me that this work isn't just about me—it's about building the next generation. Get your copy of Shanel's World here . She's already been on tour with me, speaking to classrooms, and showing other kids what's possible. I truly believe that confidence starts at home and I wanted to plant that seed early. Teaching is often viewed as a lifelong career. What made you challenge that traditional narrative and start the To Teach or Not to Teach ® movement? SHANINE: I knew I was meant to educate beyond the classroom. For so long, I thought being a teacher meant I had to follow the same path everyone else did, retire after 30 years, maybe become an administrator—but I knew there was more. God began showing me that I could still teach, but in a different way. The To Teach or Not to Teach ® movement is about helping other educators realize they don't have to box themselves in either. You can teach through your voice, your story, your business and still make an impact. Leaving a structured profession like education can feel daunting. What do you say to teachers who feel called to something more but fear the unknown? SHANINE: I'd say that obedience is better than comfort. I know what it feels like to crave stability, especially when you have a family depending on you. But I also know what it feels like to wake up every day knowing you're not walking in your full purpose. If God is calling you to something more, He will provide every step of the way. You just have to take the first step even if you're scared. Where do you see your impact reaching in the coming years? SHANINE: I see generational impact, not just through my books, but through the books of my clients. I see millions of copies being sold and lives being transformed by the stories that God has assigned to our voices. I see this movement catching on like wildfire, with eyes being opened, chains being broken, and people walking in purpose because someone was bold enough to share their story. Even though this journey hasn't been easy, I'm committed to pushing forward, not just for myself, but for the generations that are connected to my obedience. I'm building legacy one book at a time, starting with my own household and I believe that the seeds we're planting today will bear fruit for years and years to come. • She Is... Minister Taneisha Shaw (International Women's Day 2025 Feature)

For Minister Taneisha Shaw, prayer isn’t just a routine—it’s a powerful weapon. Known affectionately as Taneisha “Click Click Pow,” she has dedicated her life to winning souls, shifting spiritual atmospheres, and equipping believers with the tools necessary to achieve spiritual victory.   Minister Taneisha Shaw A former dancehall promoter, now minister of the gospel, recording artiste, author, life coach, and mentor, Taneisha is committed to empowering women and strengthening believers through strategic prayer and spiritual warfare. Taneisha holds a Kingdom Principles and Biblical Foundation certificate from Whole Life College. She is also the CEO of Wise Worthy Women, an initiative designed to uplift and equip women to live with faith and purpose.  With over ten years of experience in spiritual warfare ministry, she possesses a deep understanding of intercession, the supernatural, and breakthrough prayer.   Wisdom to Win the War – A Blueprint for Spiritual Victory   Get your copy of "Wisdom to Win the War" here . Taneisha recently released her book, “Wisdom to Win the War,” a strategic guide aimed at unlocking a deeper prayer life and experiencing the power of God. Rooted in her personal experiences and divine revelations, this book equips believers with practical tools to engage in spiritual warfare and overcome life’s challenges.   To expand on the book’s teachings, she will be hosting the “Wisdom to Win the War” Conference & Book Launch in April, in Kingston, presented by Wise Worthy Women. This event is expected to gather faith-filled women seeking breakthroughs, strategies for victory, and a greater understanding of the power of intercession. “I prophesy this over you and myself as well: In 2025, we will see the blessing of God like never before. We will see destiny and dreams come to pass. God will put us in new places and new levels. 2025 will be exceedingly, abundantly blessed, in Jesus Name.” - Minister Taneisha Shaw.   On a Mission to Win Souls   Beyond being an author, Taneisha is widely recognized for her dynamic online prayer sessions, transformational teachings, and her ability to command the atmosphere wherever she ministers. Through regular Instagram lives and motivational messages, she continues to educate believers on how to have faith and wisdom for their journeys. Her passion for ministry is reflected in one of her favorite scriptures, Psalm 86:17:    “Show me a token for good, that they which hate me may see it and be ashamed because thou, Lord, hast helped me and comforted me.”    A Closer Look w/ Minister Taneisha Shaw You cannot be unwise this season. We're in the time of evil; you cannot be unwise. ~ Minister Taneisha Shaw Your book “Wisdom to Win the War” is powerful and needed for the times we’re living in. What inspired you to write this book, and what do you hope readers take away from it? MINISTER TANEISHA: Life itself is a war and as the Bible says we have to fight the good fight of faith, and I know that if people know how to apply wisdom while they're going through what they're going through, they will be able to come out victorious and triumphant. I hope readers take everything from the book because once you make the application through your life journey, you will be able to navigate and go to another level, not only physically but spiritually with God. Knowledge is power and when you know what you're fighting first, you will fight to win the war because you can't fight spiritual wars physically and win. You have to fight it spiritually where you go to God. So, my thing is, everybody that gets [the book] will never be the same. Their life will never be the same. You’re known for your ability to shift atmospheres in prayer. When did you first realize you carried this anointing? MINISTER TANEISHA: The challenges that I go through. My experience, you know? What was meant to destroy me actually delivered me and the anointing can only activate when you're going through stuff. The anointing breaks the yoke, so that's when I realized what I go through and how I came out of it. Many believers struggle with spiritual warfare. What’s one key strategy for engaging in battle effectively? MINISTER TANEISHA: I don't have even one, I have two; prayer and fasting. You’re hosting the “Wisdom to Win the War” Conference and Book Launch in April. What can attendees expect from this experience? MINISTER TANEISHA: They can expect to come and not leave the same; leaving with sovereign intelligence. Because if you don't have wisdom, you don't have direction. You don't know where you're going, you don't know how to fulfill your purpose, you don't know what to do. So, they're leaving with a life-changing experience. Through social media, you regularly uplift and encourage others. What’s one message you feel believers need to hear right now? MINISTER TANEISHA: You cannot be unwise this season. We're in the time of evil; you cannot be unwise. What has been the most defining moment of your ministry so far? MINISTER TANEISHA: When somebody can call me and tell me that they're giving their life to The Lord and when [they share] the experience and testimony of being under my ministry or when I pray for them; that is the greatest thing. Souls —the wise win souls. I'm all about wisdom enuh, trust me. The wise win souls and the Bible tell wi in Proverbs 14 that a wise woman builds her house and a foolish one tears it down. Wisdom is very important to me and many people don't know, when you have wisdom, you have protection. Wisdom protects, it exalts, it allows you to live longer than how you even planned to. Speaking of wisdom, how has your Wise Worthy Women initiative been impacting the lives of women? MINISTER TANEISHA: Trust me, I'm telling you; many women out there — nobody never teach them, nobody never tell them how to talk, how to react, how to behave and women need it. Once a woman gets it, automatically the household will get it. So, it has been very tremendous; women from all over calling, asking [about] marriage, everything and people need it. What’s next for you? Any new projects or ministry initiatives on the horizon? MINISTER TANEISHA: God always whispers in your ears, you know. That's on God. A man can plan but only God's plan lasts. Yes, we mek wi vision be known. When God says something, we jot it down and everything but God is very spontaneous. I did not know that I would write a book. I did not know that I would keep a conference but by walking into your purpose, it's like, God is an adventurous God. Him wi seh go down deh suh and when you do, He'll say, "you see the next right turn?" So each time in the journey you're getting more things to do. So that's on God for me. How can persons connect with your ministry? MINISTER TANEISHA: They can connect with me through Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and my number that they can reach me on at (876) 858 - 2632 or (876) 851-3045. • She Is... A'Vrielle Douglas-Campbell (International Women's Day 2025 Feature)

Founder of Jars of Declarations, A'vrielle Douglas-Campbell Sometimes, the path we think we’re meant to take is not the one God has designed for us. A'vrielle Douglas-Campbell is living proof that stepping out in faith, even when it’s uncomfortable, can lead to transformation beyond imagination. From pursuing science and technology to finding her true calling in media and faith-based entrepreneurship, A'vrielle’s journey is one of resilience, obedience, and purpose.  Today, she is the founder of Jars of Declarations, a brand that seeks to inspire through customized affirmations in a stylishly designed jar. She also recently spearheaded a successful staging of Unleashing Greatness: A Path for Transformation—a self-development event curated to motivate others to step into their best selves. Breaking Down to Break Through In 2020, A'vrielle entered university with a clear plan—at least, so she thought. With a strong background in science, she began studying biochemistry at the University of the West Indies (UWI). But beneath the surface, something wasn’t right. Though she excelled academically, she found herself mentally spiraling. The weight of expectations left her drained, isolated, and deeply depressed. She recalls locking herself away in her dorm, her physical surroundings mirroring the darkness she felt within. She lost weight, energy, and even the will to live. But just when it seemed she had reached her lowest, something shifted—she took a leap of faith. It's Never Too Late to Pivot A'vrielle had always been drawn to media, and film, but fear and external noise had kept her from pursuing it. In what she describes as a complete move of obedience, she switched her major to Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC)—a field that blends advertising, PR, media, and branding. It wasn’t easy. She had little support in the beginning and felt the weight of moving independently for the first time. But she pressed on, leaning into her purpose, determination, and faith.  As time went on, her work began to speak for itself. Doors opened, opportunities arose, and she found herself thriving in a space she once feared stepping into. Today, with an honours degree coupled with over three years of experience in the industry, she looks back and sees the hand of God guiding her every step of the way. Jars of Declarations Out of her journey of transformation came Jars of Declarations. She describes the jars as tools for renewing one's mind, helping people declare truth over their lives daily. What started as a passion project has now grown into a brand that touches lives, serving as a source of encouragement for those walking their own journey of faith and self-discovery. Now, A'vrielle proudly declares just how much she has grown, changed, and stepped into her God-given identity. “I am not the same A'vrielle Douglas-Campbell I was in 2020 or 2021. God has truly done a miraculous work in me.” A Closer Look w/ A'Vrielle Douglas-Campbell A lot of times we have a certain view of our lives that we think is what we're supposed to do but it's not in accordance with God's will. ~ A'Vrielle Douglas-Campbell What was the turning point when you knew you had to shift from biochemistry to media? A'VRIELLE: When I was a child, I always had the mindset to do media and broadcasting. I always was interested in those things but the persons above me had other plans and I went to a high school that primarily focused on the sciences so it was really what was given to me to do. But to find my own identity, I had to struggle with that because I was going based off an identity that was made for me but truly that wasn't what I wanted. So, what was the shift? It was really me getting closer to God and finding myself in Christ to know that I live my life for God and not for anybody else. And I really had to go through the pains of that and finding that my passions are truly me and what I love. If I pursue this life with Christ then I can't be doing something that somebody else told me to do and not what He had given me to love and want to do. Many people struggle with stepping out of the expectations placed on them. What gave you the courage to step outside of your comfort zone and take that leap of faith? A'VRIELLE: If you have a passion and it's not close to the expectations that people want for you but the passion keeps on coming back — it's like it will never leave — the feeling, the urge that you have and you pray about it and ask God, "Why did You give me this?" and the feeling is still there and there are things around you that confirm this; that's what gave me that leap of faith. Even though, right now, I'm not seeing [the full manifestation] the fact that it's so deep in me, [I say to myself] "Alright, I'm gonna step out and do it because I'm sure once I do it, God will add on everything. He's just waiting for me to take that leap of faith." Like Moses; he didn't have any faith in his speech. He didn't have any faith in taking people out of Egypt and once he listened to God and took that leap of faith, God added everything unto him and taught him the things that he needed. God gave him the rod and everything to fulfill his mission. It's just that he needed the faith within himself to execute it. You’ve spoken openly about battling depression. What role did faith play in your healing? A'VRIELLE: I was sick and tired of being sick and tired and at that time, I was just a church goer, right? So, I'm saying, if I'm going to church and I'm hearing that God is the healer, why don't I exercise this relationship with God? Then, I realized I didn't really have a relationship with Him. It was just a culture thing where you just go to church. So, I tapped into that relationship and I found out the truth of who God called me to be; who God created us humans to be; who I am through the Bible; all of those things really got me out of depression. Even to this day, I have to be unlearning certain things. When I realize that I'm dropping off old ways, it's when I'm deep in what God has instructed me to think or to change. When I spend time with God to really break off certain things that's what helps me to heal from certain situations. It's not an instant thing but I keep going back and plugging into my source. Integrated Marketing Communication is such a creative and fulfilling field for visionaries. What was the most rewarding part of that programme for you? A'VRIELLE: It was being around like-minded people who were so confident in their creativity because remember, I'm coming from a place where I wasn't confident in my creativity because I was told that creativity wasn't a job; it was a hobby. My classmates or yearmates were doing so many things based on what we learnt and I was like, "You guys are so creative" and that's how I am. So, I was happy to be around people who thought like me. Jars of Declarations is a unique and deeply inspiring concept. What inspired you to create these affirmation jars, and what impact have you seen them have on people? A'VRIELLE: When I was going through that season of depression, God had told me to get closer to Him and to write scriptures that stuck out to me on sticky notes, put them on my mirror and read them every day when I woke up, was leaving the house and when I was to go to bed after my devotions. I did that routinely, every single day, and if I missed a day, I would read it twice the next day. I would do that so much to the point where I felt connected to the words that I was saying to myself. I was like, "But this is true!" I believed in the words and it was stuck on me. I know a lot of people suffer with what I was going through, especially a lot of people at my age; even during COVID. It was just a lot. And in my nature, I love to help people so I was saying, "If I heal this void in me, how can I help other people who are suffering with this?" I went back to God [about helping persons going through the same struggle] and God said, "Start your business." I remember one time when I went to church convention; this is when I was just starting out and I was promoting the jars, so it wasn't really anything people knew of at the time and I had one jar. I told people who were passing by the booth to take out a card, read it to themselves and keep the card. That was a couple years ago. When I started promoting more, somebody texted me on the [business] page and said, "I still have the affirmation that you gave me that day and it's in my purse. I read it every single day, and it's what really motivates me to go on [throughout] my day." I was shocked because that was just a simple thing of me trying to get my business out there. Looking back at your journey, what advice would you give to someone feeling lost and unsure of their purpose? A'VRIELLE: My advice is to really sit down, look within yourself and try to diminish pride because a lot of times we have a certain view of our lives that we think is what we're supposed to do but it's not in accordance with God's will. Have a sense of being a clear canvas — open-minded — so when you're sitting down with God, it's not, "God I want this, I want that and I feel so lost because You're not giving me what I want." It's to really sit down and say, "God, this is what I want but right now, I don't know if it's what You want", and of course, if it's a desire that is always in you, you can ask, "Is this what I'm supposed to do but I'm going about it the wrong way?" When you sit down with a selfless intent and see how God is working then things will be added unto you. What’s next for you? Any exciting projects or future plans you can share? A'vrielle Douglas-Campbell at the first staging of her event, Unleashing Greatness: A Path for Transformation A'VRIELLE: I am actually working on my personal brand which is aligned with my business and I have a lot of things coming up. I'm an advocate for mental health in teenagers and young adults, especially women and things are coming into play where those avenues are being executed. I'm trying to find my space in advocacy and really get out there when it comes to my personal brand; educating people on how to be their best selves, to glow and grow in who they are as women, as people reaching their highest potential. So, I'm trying to find my footing there. When it comes on to my business; the event [Unleashing Greatness: A Path for Transformation] was a success! People are asking for more and when is the next event so, those are future plans as well. • The Digital Church: Is Online Ministry Replacing Traditional Worship?

“For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” (Matthew 18:20) Picture this: It’s Sunday morning. Instead of rushing to iron clothes, sit in traffic and find a seat at church, you roll over, grab your phone and tune in to an online service from the comfort of your bed. Maybe you’re fully engaged, Bible in hand. Or maybe, just maybe, the sermon is playing in the background while you scroll through social media—guilty as charged. With the rise of online ministry, particularly in the wake of COVID-19, the way we worship has changed drastically. Many pastors now find themselves preaching to half-empty churches while their online numbers skyrocket. But is digital church truly replacing traditional worship, or is there a way to balance both? The Rise of the Digital Church The pandemic forced churches worldwide to embrace digital platforms like YouTube, Facebook and Zoom to keep their congregations connected. What started as a necessity soon became the norm. Some ministries even reported a higher online attendance than they ever had in person. Jamaican pastors have voiced their concerns about declining physical attendance, a sentiment echoed globally. A 2024 report from Christianity Today noted that 45% of U.S. churches saw a consistent drop in in-person participation post-pandemic. Similarly, reports are that some churches have struggled to recover their pre-COVID congregations, with many choosing online alternatives instead. But why? Is online ministry just more convenient, or does it offer something that traditional churches have failed to provide? Why Many Are Choosing Online Ministry 1. Flexibility & Convenience – Some believers view in-person worship as rigid and ritualistic, whereas online ministry allows them to engage at their own pace. No dress code, no commute, just the Word—on-demand. 2. Accessibility for the Disconnected – Those who live in remote areas, struggle with disabilities, or have unconventional work schedules find online ministry a lifeline. 3. A More Personalized Experience – Traditional ministries may not always cater to specific spiritual needs, while online platforms allow people to find teachings that resonate deeply with them. 4. Financial Considerations – Some argue that pastors lament empty pews not just for spiritual reasons but also due to the decline in tithes and offerings, which support church expenses. Meanwhile, some churches have adapted, leveraging platforms like YouTube and TikTok to monetize their content and sustain their ministries. But Are We Truly Worshiping? While online ministry offers undeniable benefits, it raises an important question: Are we truly engaged in worship, or have we turned it into another form of entertainment? Hebrews 10:25 warns us, “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another.” Fellowship is a crucial part of Christian growth. Worship isn’t just about hearing a sermon—it’s about the laying on of hands, corporate prayer, and the collective energy of voices raised in praise. There’s something powerful about gathering in His name that a screen simply can’t replicate. Furthermore, distraction is a real issue. Online worship removes external pressures but also invites interruptions—notifications, multitasking, or even a quick nap mid-sermon. How many of us can honestly say we’re as present in an online service as we are in a church pew? Finding the Balance: The Hybrid Church Model As the landscape of worship continues to evolve, many ministries are embracing a hybrid model—offering both in-person and online experiences. This approach acknowledges the benefits of digital ministry while reinforcing the importance of gathering together. Here's why this makes sense: Expands Global Reach – Ministries are now hosting conferences in other countries, acknowledging their international online communities and deepening connections beyond the digital space. Interactive Worship – Some churches encourage live online engagement—real-time prayer requests, small-group discussions via Zoom, and even virtual communion. Supplementing In-Person Fellowship – Online teachings and devotionals throughout the week keep believers engaged outside of Sunday services. The Real Heart of Worship So, is online ministry replacing traditional worship? Not entirely—but it is redefining it. What truly matters is our posture before God. Whether in a sanctuary or in your living room, are you present in worship? Are you growing spiritually, connecting with other believers and fulfilling your role in the Body of Christ? Because at the end of the day, worship isn’t about location—it’s about the heart. “God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4:24) The future of worship isn’t an either-or scenario. It’s about balance. It’s about keeping our hearts engaged, whether in a crowded church or behind a screen. After all, church isn’t just where we go—it’s who we are.
